Capsule Chess is an upcycling design project, a challenge to collect and discover the possibility of recycled materials.

According to the research, industrial waste account for 27% per annual in Hong Kong. Walking down the street in Shum Shui Po, construction wastes such as bricks, tiles, bamboo were everywhere.

By collecting tiles in the construction wastes, and combining Nesspresso coffee capsule the household waste consumed at my home, the capsule chess is born. The various and vivid colour of capsule allow player to identify different figures in the game, also allowing player to change the figures with other used capsule.
